  1. Available Networks not visible on Windows 10 HP Laptop

I have done all of the usual troubleshooting solutions, restarting, network reset, updating/uninstalling network adapters, running ip commands through powershell, etc. Whenever I run troubleshooter, it just says "You have not chosen to connect to any of the available wireless networks" but when I click "Show me a list of available networks" it pulls up an empty list. This used to work just fine, and I'm certain it's partly due to me trying to fix Xbox Game Bar. Here is my network settings I've removed the addresses so I don't get hacked or anything
    Name: Ethernet

  2. Laptop won't show list of available networks

We suggest checking the list of available Wi-Fi networks on your laptop.

    Please follow these steps:

    • Click the Windows logo.
    • Go to Settings (gear icon).
    • Select Network and Internet.
    • Then Wi-Fi.
    • Make sure the Wi-Fi radio button is On.
    • Select Show available networks, then you'll be able to see the list of available Wi-Fi networks.

  3. Available Networks not visible -- Windows 10

I recently ran "Fresh Start" Windows 10 restore function in order to de-clutter my laptop. When the proceßs finished, no wireless networks would populate in the available networks list.

I have tried several fixes involving registry configuratiôn changes, but they did not work. Help!

Edit: I was able to connect on the lock screen wi-fi interface. It still shows no available netwôrks in the available networks dialogûe.

Available Networks not visible on Windows 10 HP Laptop

Wifi not visible at all in Network/Internet Settings...No connections available

Soon after replacing my laptop battery, I have totally lost the ability to even detect an available wifi connection on my home network. My other computer, my kindle, & phones all work fine. Im using an HP ENVY running Windows 10.

    I have tried:

Removing said battery (if its even the problem idk...) waiting 10 mins replacing & rebooting

running all factory troubleshooters- (says plug in ethernet cable)

updating drivers (says i have the latest)

command prompt ping (sent 4 signals none lost)

    screwing around with power settings

    device manager enabling/disabling network adapters

    restarting router

    system restore (unsuccessful)

I am comparing the network adapters from the computer that has wifi working with the ENVY computer that does not have wifi working in Device Manager & have noticed differences.

HP ENVY Computer (no wifi abilities) network adapters listed like this:

    Microsoft Kernel Debug Network Adapter

Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter #5 --GREYED OUT only visible in hidden view

Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter #6--GREYED OUT only visible in hidden view

Ralink RT5390R 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter--GREYED OUT only visible in hidden view

    Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

Unaffected Computer with wifi network adapters listed like this:

Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless- AC 3168

    Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

Anyone with suggestions on how to proceed and what to try next? Thanks in advance if someone tries to be of assistance.
