Windows 10: Avast Virus Protection

I'm getting pop-ups for Avast virus protection does anyone use this anymore?

I had Windows Defender and Avast as anti virus protection. Once I removed Avast and kept Windows Defender, I rebooted, problem solved.

 

If you have the free version, and you're getting "toaster" notifications, yes, that will happen. They, of course, will always try to sell you their paid version. You can change the length of time they display to 1 second, (in the settings), so they go away quickly.

 

No and haven't used any 3rd party AV since the dawn of Defender. I use it with no problems. It works at kernel level where others can't. Uses less resources too. It's simply designed for Windows.

 

I stopped using Avast as recent versions have become intrusive and bloaty. It adds a layer between you and your network which I do not want.
