    AVG free anti-virus installed on hp probook disables TouchPad on startup.


    AVG anti-virus decided the TouchPad software could by malware after many years so disables the TouchPad when the laptop starts up. I removed AVG but the TouchPad is still disabled on startup.. Task Manager shows the HPTouchpointAnalyticService as Running. How can I get the TouchPad enabled?Michael

    Does the message show all the time when installing any application or program?

    Does the message show only when installing AVG anti-virus scanner?

    You already have a built-in Anti-Virus installed on your device called
    Windows Defender    . Works just like the other anti-viruses that are available in the market.



    When one Anti-virus software is already installed in your PC, you cannot install another Anti-virus software. You have to disable the in-built Anti-virus software in order to install another anti-virus software.



    Check if you get the same error message when installing AVG anti-virus scanner after un-installing the built in anti-virus software.
