Windows 10: awus036ach

hi i have the alfa awus036ach and if i use to connect to a wifi network, it will disconnect in 2minutes. this happens on both windows 10 and kali linux operating systems. and ive seen a thread here that alfa does not have windows10 drivers yet for Alfa AWUS036NHA. is this the same case for my wifi adapter model? how about in linux? it does not work well with linux as well

Really? Look at the specs for what you posted! A Realtek chipset that doesn't even hit 1 Gbps on the 5 ghz channel. There are tons that are better than that! You like Alfa, we get it. That does make them the best thing in WiFi since sliced bread.

if not, external USB dongle is what I would do.
Not only your choices are wider, but you buy a good quality WI-FI adapter, HP equivalent is not measureable.

There are much better than this one, you can catch even aliens with those.

I'm sorry but there is no way the card you posted beats the one I linked even though it a newer model

The Archer TX20U Plus is a newer model, it support AX standard which goes up to 1201 Mbps but that's not a valid comparison here since we should rather compare the AC speeds which are exactly the same for both cards (867 Mbps)

Obviously AWUS036ACH does not support AX standard but I already pointed out it's an old model.

Putting wireless standard aside, the TX20U card support only infrastructure mode which is a big limitation of the card compared to AWUS036ACH which is not limited in that area.

The TX20U also has a limitation in that in only supports Win10 and 11.

All other things being equal, the TX20U is definitely not beating the AWUS036ACH except for supporting AX, I could easily find an AX capable ALFA card as well.

Ah that, I'm sorry for misinterpreting your point, IMO it's definitely a big plus that their cards use Realteak chipsets rather than some custom made.
I don't know why would that degrade the capabilities of the card itself or why it would make it less favorable to some other manufacturer which also uses Realtek or Intel chipset but is likewise not Intel or Realtek company or subsidiary?
