    Hot laptop

    Hi Bonnie

    It depends, what area under your laptop is getting hot, is it the battery area, or around the vents . . .

    Rarely this indicates a new battery is required. Turn you laptop upside down, are the vents free from dust?

    If not, vacuum those vents out

    If the vents are free from dust, turn on your laptop, then open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc)

    Choose the Processes tab if necessary

    Leave that open to monitor your laptop

    When the bottom is getting hot, is your Processor, hard drive or GPU up to a very high percentage?

    LAPTOP MAKING HISSING NOISE WHEN HOT

    My laptop gets very hot since it's a gaming laptop. Asus ROG Flow X13 2021 model. I am hearing a very weird hissing noise and my laptop gets extremely hot underneath. My vents are clear from dust since I do a monthly cleaning. The noise sounds like something sizzling. It's right between the fans, towards the top middle of my laptop. I'm not sure if it's the thermal paste or what. Never heard it before till now. Please tell me what I should do. I'm going to take it apart and see if I can find anything.

    Blue Screen on Dell Laptop HOT

    Both. One is for the chip set and the other is for the management engine. As for your GPU driver I wouldnt worry. You used it before and it wasnt hot.

    The laptop was fine before he installed windows and a bunch of non-supported drivers unless your gonna tell me improper drivers cannot cause excessive heat and BSOD.

    I'm not saying he doesn't have a physical issue. I'm just saying baby steps.
