Hi all, Can you help? I have a new laptop and want to add my Microsoft account. First I want to back up my microsoft account on my old laptop to make sure it is up-to-date before I add it this all is straight forward so far. However, there is an issue with this back up; the system tells me I have more than one account and onedrive account. On checking I have found that I do have 2 microsoft accounts. I can log into both accounts separately but they are not available to delete on windows start login or in account settings so I can't delete one and focus my back up on the other microsoft accou

Are you trying to convert the local account to Microsoft Account?



I would suggest you to test the issue by creating a new Microsoft Account and check if it works. To create a new user account, refer to these steps:

• In start menu search type “user” without quotes.
• Click on Add, edit, or remove other users from the list of results.
• Under Other users, click on Add someone else to this PC.
• Follow on screen instructions.

After making a new Microsoft account, you can copy all the files on your previous user. Please follow steps below:

• Press Windows key and search for File Explorer.

• Locate your new account.
• Press Ctrl + A again then press Ctrl + V.
