Windows 10: Background Apps crashing in Windows 11

I recently upgraded my windows to windows 11 and since then while multitasking my background apps would sometimes crash and then restart. During this time, Alt + Tab wont work, taskbar would disappear and after some time everything would become normal again. I don't know what is happening here. This has started occurring after installing Windows 11 and never happened in Windows 10.Specifications of my PC:Windows: Windows 11 Home Single Language Version 21H2CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3550HRAM: 8GB

Windows Spotlight/Background Apps

Hi, have you ever removed Edge?

Sometimes this might happen because there's a MS server issue. However, what you say above suggests something else may be amiss.

N.B. after resetting Spotlight as Bree suggests, it may take several days (in my experience) before it starts working again.

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

 

Windows Mail app background bug

Sorry, not sure what you mean. I was talking about choosing a background through the "Browse" button and then repeating that step again with another background. In that case the Mail app won't apply that 2nd background.
