Windows 10: Background changes every time screen is shut off like sleeping or turning on.

Perhaps someone here has heard of this issue? No computer repair technicians seem to have...About ten days ago my laptop suddenly started changing the desktop background when it booted up or when it was waking up. It would show my background, then flip off and come back on with one of the Windows stock backgrounds. My concern is there is some program or file running behind the scenes making it do that. Otherwise why would it initially load up my background then change it?

My computer is not synced to any other devices, I don't even have the option to sync if I wanted to

I tried uninstalling any recently downloaded programs that might be causing issues, which didn't help.

I tried restoring back to a previous point, but it said the file was damaged and couldn't restore.


I could get no support due to my computer being Windows 8.1 so I just today upgraded to Windows 10, and the problem continues to happen. I've just finished working though a few things with an online support tech, such as looking in the registry, which left me back at square one.


Does this sound like a virus or spyware? I have Avast antivirus, Windows Defender firewall, and took it to a computer repair specialist who checked the RAM and hard drive, as well as ran Malware programs, etc. None of it has picked up any viruses that are showing up.


Now I just keep a copy of the pic on my desktop so I can easily change the background photo every time it boots up. My background photo is black and white, which helps me see my icons better. The bright Windows pics hurt my eyes. Surely there is a way to fix this, so I don't have to manually change my background photo every time the screen turns on?
