Windows 10: Background color of Windows Explorer context menu darkgrey

Hi,is it just me or has the background color of the Windows Explorer context menu become darker? I changed from dark to light, changed the themes, nothing helps.Best regardsKay

Start Menu background color customize

Hi,

You can change the background color of the the Start menu on Settings. To do this, follow the steps below:

• Click the Windows logo (Start button).
• Click the gear icon (Settings).
• Choose Personalization.
• Select Colors.
• Under Show color on Start, taskbar, and action center, switch the slider to
  On.
• After switching the slider to On, you can now pick what color you want or you can click the
  Automatically pick an accent color from my background checkbox to make Windows pick the color that complements the color of your desktop background.

Kindly share with us the result after you perform the steps above.

These procedures not helped to change the background color of the start menu by (right click)





I want to change the black color to grey color as previous.

Please help.

Also previously right click will show the control panel, system, device manager etc. now it is not showing.

I completely understand the way you feel at the moment. You may try the below suggested steps to change the look of the File explorer.

Are the computers connected to any Domain Network?

Kevin, you can only change the background color of File Explorer to black and the only way to do this is to go to
Settings > Personalization > Colors > Under
Choose your default app mode, choose Dark. Once you change this setting, you will experience the entire user interface of File Explorer, Context menu, Save and open dialog, Settings application with the blackish color.

If you want to change the background of Outlook, then I suggest you to refer
Change the look and feel of Office with themes and check if this helps.
