Windows 10: background color

I went to settings, background, I chose a photo and that works. However I accidently chose a background color. In settings I see

Label Background, below it shows my photo and a layout of the start menu over it.

below it has choices of picture, solid color or slideshow- I chose picture and selected the one I want.

Below that it says "chose a fit" options like stretch, span, center etc. I have tried them all and it doesn't get rid of my issue.

below that is shows "chose background color" with a small chart of colors. this is where I accidently hit black. now I have black border above and below my photo. I can uncheck it on my touch screen, but there is no save button and the border doesn't go away. if I close the settings and go back in, the box is still checked. From there I have tried all the other options and can't get rid of the stupid border. Help please...

Background color:

  Go to
  Settings.
  
• 
  Choose
  Personalization.
  
• 
  On the left-side of the window, select
  Colors.
  
• 
  Then
  Choose a Color.

Wallpaper (background) color

  Did you make any changes to the PC prior to this issue?
  

Close all open windows, restart the computer once and then login to the computer to check if that helps.

Further you may also want to ensure that default theme is selected. Follow these steps:

  Press Windows key + I to get the Settings screen.

  Click Personalization and select Themes.

change desktop background color

Hi,

To change the desktop background into a solid color, see the steps below:

• Right-click on the desktop, and select Personalize.
• Under Personalization, select Background.
• On the right pane, click on the drop-down menu for Background, and then select
  Solid color.
• Choose your preferred color and it should immediately make changes.
