Windows 10: Background keeps changing back to Dynamic Wallpaper

A week ago I downloaded a dynamic wallpaper to correlate to the time of the day; it's a city scape so the the sunrise screen comes on at sunrise time, noon for noon, and night for night etc. It all correlates to my time zone. I decided I wanted to change it to just one background and have no dynamic to it. Just a plain wallpaper. I uploaded the wallpaper and set it as my background but every time one of the time changes for the previous wallpaper sunset time etc it changes back to that screen. In order to have the 1 wallpaper screen to come up I have to manually set it back. I have tried countless options like turning on/off sync theme settings, going the windows + R to delete the wallpapers, but then they pop back up. I've tried the timing issues to just have it not set on time setting to try prevent the screens changing. Everything I've tried hasn't worked, please help.

Wallpaper (background) color

Close all open windows, restart the computer once and then login to the computer to check if that helps.

Further you may also want to ensure that default theme is selected. Follow these steps:

  Press Windows key + I to get the Settings screen.

  Click Personalization and select Themes.

  Click on Theme Settings to select Windows Default Themes.

Win-10 themes keep changing

• Did you try the steps suggested by Suvarna Govinda above, what was the result?

As I understand the issue, Themes in Windows doesn't have the options to change on its own. Only the Wallpapers in the themes can change as selected ( Picture, Solid color and Slide Show ).

I would suggest you to make us understand that if the Wallpapers are changing in Theme which you have selected.

Below are the steps you can check if it helps.

• Press Windows + I keys and select Personalization.
• Select Theme and select the Default theme.
• Select the Desktop Background below and select the Picture
  and save it and check.

Bug using slideshow as background wallpaper

I've configured my windows to use slideshow as wallpaper and set the window theme based on color of the background picture. Using windows explorer, when the wallpaper changes if you are navigating through a list of itens then windoes selects the first
item from that list. Its annoying.
