Windows 10: Background settings keep changing on their own

Am using Windows 10. Have always had background set to slideshow to change every1 minute. It was working fine and then all of a sudden last week, it started changing on its own back to picture instead of slideshow. Keep resetting it and it seems to have a mind of its own. Have also adjusted theme in case this has some effect. But no matter what I do, the setting changes on its own. Any suggestions??? Thanks very much!

In order to help you better, could you please confirm a couple of things.

• Have you made any changes on the computer prior to the issue?
• Are you referring to desktop background image or lock screen image?

I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the background picture and check if it helps.

• In the search type as ‘Settings’ and click on it.
• Select ‘Personalization’, under ‘Background’ option select as ‘Picture’.
• Under ‘Choose your picture’ select any picture accordingly or you can browse the picture from your computer.

How to change the screen background settings in Windows 10

I suggest you to follow the steps below to change the background to the original.

• 
  Type Themes and related settings in search bar. And click on that.
  
• 
  Go to Themes.
  
• 
  Under Windows default Themes select the back ground close the window.

Background cannot be changed

Hi,

To change the background on your Windows 10 Mobile, please follow the steps below:

• Open Settings, and tap on Personalization.
• Tap on Start.
• Tap on the drop-down list under Choose a background.
• Select your preferred background and click apply.
