Windows 10: Backing up correctly

I'm trying to backup my computer to an external hard drive but I'm having issues. I am using Windows 10 and using the backup settings under "Back up using file history." The first few times I did it the back up didn't contain all of the files in the selected folder and later my backup seemed to keep folders and files I had deleted a while ago. My backup seems to keep growing in size, it says the size is 323 GB when it should be around 135 GB.1. How do I tell my computer to only backup files that are on my computer and forget files that aren't2. If the problem still persists how do I make sure

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

If want to disable IE, still can. However, can't uninstall it like were able to in XP/98/whatever.
Here's how, although I find it useful in case Chrome or Firefox stops working and have to re-download it. *Wink
1. Search for turn windows features on or off and click it in the search results.

2. When the app opens, uncheck Internet Explorer 11.

3. Click Yes on the warning dialog.

4. Click OK.

5. Restart for the changes to finish.

• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter

I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the latest mouse driver from manufacturer web site and check.

• Press Windows and X keys together
• Click on Device Manager.
  
• Select Mouse and other pointing devices from the list.
• Click on Update drivers by right clicking on the driver.
