Windows 10: Backing up Quicken files to a USB key

Recently, my Dell desktop running Windows 10 Home, Version 21H2, OS build 19044.1586, doesn't recognize my USB key so that I can do a backup of my Quicken files without unplugging the key and then plugging it back in. In the grand scheme of things this is not a big issue but on occasion it is annoying. Has anyone experienced this problem? Is there a fix that can be shared?

I understand your concern regarding the issue that you are facing.

• What the exact error message you are getting?

Please be informed that Quicken 2002 might not be compatible with Windows 10.

I suggest you to install that program in compatibility mode and check.

Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.

Follow these steps to install the program in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

a. Download the program from the manufacturer’s website.

b. Right-click on the program setup file and click on
‘properties’.

c. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box
‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer.

If the issue persists I suggest you to contact the Quicken support for further help.

Quicken ID not recognized in Quicken 2019 after 1903 update

Windows 10 Error Code 2503 comes up when uninstalling Quicken. Unable to uninstall quicken. How do I correct this problem?

• How did you try to uninstall Quicken?

Kindly try the steps below and check if this helps.

• Using the Windows search feature, look for Control Panel.
• Click Control Panel Desktop app to open.
• Choose Programs.
• Under Programs and Features, click on Uninstall a Program.
• Find Quicken in the list of programs. They are alphabetically ordered. Highlight it by clicking on it once.
  
• Click on Uninstall at the top of the list and follow through the prompts until the program is removed.
  

If the issue still persists, I suggest you to contact Quicken support regarding this matter for assistance.
