Windows 10: backslash doesnt work on windows 10

Discus and support backslash doesnt work on windows 10 in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; For some reason the backslash doesn't work on my computer.     backslash doesnt work on windows 10


    For some reason the backslash doesn't work on my computer. The "|" does work which is on the same key. I've tried multiple keyboards but still no luck. I've also plugged in both keyboards to a different computer and the backslash key does work. For this reason I'm certain the issue lies within windows 10 and not my keyboards. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    backslash doesnt work on windows 10

    Windows 10 Cortana backslash in path

    Up until a couple of days ago, I used to be able to type paths into Cortana and press the enter key on the keyboard to open them. Now, as soon as I type a backslash the enter key no longer works, and I can't use the arrow keys to select other items from the list of suggestions -- it's still possible to use the mouse.

    If I type C: everything works as expected. When it becomes C:\ the keyboard selection stops. The keyboard selection also stops when using a UNC path such as \\pc

    I have no idea what I've done. Any suggestions? Currently running Windows 10 (10586.420)
