    Backspace = delete file/folder in windows file explorer. but it dosnt do that.


    Hi, ive been using windows 10 for like 4 years now and something that just makes me angry in windows file explorer is when i press the backspace key, i dont delete a file/folder i navigate back. im currently using a 60% layout keyboard. it takes to long for me to click "delete" at the top of the file explorer. is there anyway i can fix this?

    How do I make my backspace key delete folders in file explorer?

    My entire life, I have used backspace to delete pictures, folders, and other files from my desktop and while in file explorer. Suddenly, backspace now functions as a navigation arrow, and instead of deleting, I am going into the containing folder for the files I am attempting to delete. How do I fix the backspace key?

    C windows installer folder - Delete?

    He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink Backspace = delete file/folder in windows file explorer. but it dosnt do that. ;)
    Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

    Like:
    First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
    Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
    Then type this in command mode as admin
    mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

    Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.
