    backup and restore question

    Hi everyone,

I clean installed windows 10 from previously having windows 7, however I noticed in control panel>system and security>backup and restore, that it shows windows 7 in brackets. I've posted a screenshot below, and a screenshot of the next screen if I click on the tab. Any ideas on how I make it not show windows 7 in brackets. I don't actually want or need a windows 7 backup.

    Thanks.

most of the time it should be fine and restore in theory should work. there will be some apps that you will have to reinstall. also the purchased apps don't you have the keys for them, you can always write to the vendor and let them know what happened
and that this is an insuracne replacement rather than you buying a new phone. i think for the most part you should be able to recover all of your apps and stuff. it MAY take you a moment to do it aside from just restoring back up to your phone based on the
apps you have bought and contacting some vendors. some apps once you plug the keys you received with them might actually work on your device.

    backup and restore question

    Hello 8219jr, *Smile

"Windows 7" in the name is just there to only indicate that this Windows Backup feature is a Windows 7 feature that was included in Windows 10. The Windows Backup feature will create a backup of your files in Windows 10.
