Windows 10: backup/restore installed Edge extensions

Hi,

Is there any way to backup/restore installed Edge extensions?

:)

 

MS Eddge gone Bonders - does not allow me to resize, move it around, Cannot copy and paste in Office (word), etc

Here are some common solutions to problems with Microsoft Edge. If you can't open Microsoft Edge, or if it opens briefly and then closes, try the following:

BEFORE resetting Edge, you can back up your Edge Favorites from the Settings pane or using the Manage Edge tool,
Manage Edge Favorites , which also gives more flexibility for managing, ie Export to HTML, or moving them

WIN- Reinstall Microsoft Edge

Open Start menu,

type: powershell

Right click powershell

click on “Run as administrator”

At command prompt, type:

remove-appxpackage –name Microsoft.microsoftEdge –Verbose

Get-AppXPackage -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml” -Verbose}

Exit PowerShell, restart, then try again.

DISABLE EDGE EXTENSIONS (ONE AT AT TIME)

Open Edge

Click the 3 dots on the top right corner

Click Extensions

Click the extension that you want to disable

Click the switch under the name of the extension to turn it off

Repeat this for all the extensions

 

Microsoft Edge

At present you can't password protect bookmarks in Microsoft Edge. Perhaps someone will eventually write an extension for Microsoft Edge that does, but I think that is unlikely since it would be a royal pain in the you-know-where to have to enter a password
each time someone wants to use a bookmark.

If you want, you can backup your Favorites. This will allow you to restore your Favorites to the way they were. From a web search:
