Windows 10: Backup to Onedrive

I guess I'm still not clear on how this works... I'm trying to backup everything I have in these folders on my PC to Onedrive, but I all seem to find is how I backup, or sync rather, what's in these folders on Onedrive to my PC. At the same time, Backup using file history apparently won't let me use Onedrive.

I need help for my backup.

Since the new update all the backup goes on OneDrive or I want to have them in my Laptop. How change that ?

 

Backup Onedrive

It is not possible to save your backups to OneDrive. Backups you make with the built-in backup tools can only go to other hard drives at your own location (plugged into your physical actual computer, not OneDrive).

How useful it may be as a backup destination obviously depends on the amount of storage you've been allocated, and your upload speed.

There's useful material in Onedrive Help (right click the tray icon, Help)

 

You have to copy the files you want to your OneDrive folders using either File Explorer on your PC or uploading the files using OneDrive in a web page.

Files stored in the OneDrive cloud storage will be synched with the OneDrive folders on your PC (if selected). You will then have 3 copies of your files - the original file, a copy in OneDrive cloud storage and a local PC copy in your PC's OneDrive folder.
