Windows 10: Bad image error while trying to install directx error code: 0xc000012f

Hello. I just freshly installed Windows 10 and I'm having this error while trying to install directx through Steam or independently.





Tried following things;

- Updating almost everything on computer.
- Clean boot.
- Safe mode.
- sfc /scannow
- installed directx through microsoft's website.
- run dism with all three modes. check, scan, restore.

But still getting this error while trying to install directx for individual games. And there is no exception, I get his error for every game I tried to install. Anybody encountered something like that or know a solution?

Edit: Had to reinstall windows 10 with another iso file.

Error Code After Recent Update

I have followed your instructions and tried both the 2017 and 2012 VCC+ but I am still unable to open The Sims 4. The error code for when I try to open the Sims 4:

TS4_x64.exe. - Bad Image

The error code I get when I first unlock my laptop:

divx 10 update error

error code 0xc000012f file is dxaB96.tmp - Bad image and dxa8429.tmp and dxa842A.tmp

how to fix?
