Bad performance after upgrading GPU. Desperate.

I’ve tried everything and nothing seems to work. I upgraded my GPU from an RX470 to an RX580 and I’m having issues. The OS is choppy, animations are not smooth at all, and games dont run higher than 40 fps anymore. I’ve reinstalled the drivers several times, tried different driver versions, I’ve used DDU, installed the most recent windows update, tried every troubleshooter and it just doesnt work. My power supply is 650w, more than enough for the card. I tried my old card and I’m having the problem on that too now. I’ve exhausted all of my options and I’m desperate at this point. I know nothing is a bottleneck because it worked perfectly fine until I switched cards, and even with my old card installed it’s not like it was before. I’m happy to give more info but I really dont know what to do here.

    :)

My GPU is heavily under performing, please help!

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    • What is the make and model of GPU?

    • Do you face this issue only with this game or all the game?
I suggest you to use the same GPU in different computer and check if the issue persist.

As you mentioned that you have overclocked the CPU, Microsoft does not recommend overclocking the CPU.

Reply with necessary information and I’ll be happy to help you further

    Thanks and Regards

    Gaming GPU Question

I`m really on a budget, but desperately want to upgrade from my Nvidia 7900 GTX. Anyone have any suggestions on a GPU for gaming around the 100 or below range?
