Windows 10: Baffling Problem regarding foreign languages

Hi,

I hope this is the right place:

Got a new laptop. Added Japanese Language Pack ( so I can type in Japanese).



Tried to rip some CDs, and I have this issue:



Windows media didn't have issues getting Japanese text and such : https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/281561409148420097/745117718461808640/unknown.png



However, after ripping, https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/281561409148420097/745112961466761265/unknown.png the Japanese texts are "?" in Windows Explorer



I compared settings on laptop and desktop (all windows 10), and they were the same in terms of language, locale, WMP settings.

desktop has https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/281561409148420097/745136063277694976/unknown.png

Same CD, and if you look at the first song in the laptop screenshot and the only file in desktop, you would see the same file but laptop having ?????? but desktop showing the proper text.

What could be causing this issue? I' ve tried everything from restarting computer, to uninstall and reinstall langauge.

Is my only option to use my old desktop to rip CDs and then put it on a flash drive into my new laptop? or is there a fix for this?

I ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM GETTING AN UNWANTED FOREIGN LANGUAGE. IT ONLY SHOWS UP WHEN I CLICK ON THE 'HOUSE" SYMBEL

For me to provide you with appropriate troubleshooting steps, please allow me to gather more information regarding the problem that you have.

• Where do you see the unwanted foreign language?
• Have you installed or added a new language on your PC?
• Where do you see the house symbol?

If possible, please share with us a screenshot of the page where you see the house symbol. This will really help in sorting out the problem.

Yes keyboard will be available in windows 10 for foreign languages.

Note: The steps in the above link are meant for windows 8, however, you can use the same for windows 10 as well.

Foreign language appears in some places


I don't think the title is correctly put but the screenshot I posted would hopefully explain what i really mean. Such problem appear in couple of other places but i couldn't find it the time i was writing this. Any suggestions would be extremely appreciated.
