    I'm trying to change my 2.4GHz band on my Wi-Fi adapter to 5GHz but the 'band preference' is missing.

    USB Wi-Fi Adapter Disabling

    Is it on Windows 8's compatibility list (check MS website- forgot link)?

    I had an issue with one Wi-fi adapter and it wasn't listed as compatible- All was well when I swapped it out with one on the compatibility list

    Virtual Wi-fi Adapter

    Hi,

    I'm using my laptop as a second screen for my desktop. (by pressing win + p)
    For some reason, this feature is only available in Windows if your desktop has a wi-fi adapter.
    Funny thing is, that after I connect to my laptop with wi-fi, I can remove the adapter and it still works.

    I just managed to brake my adapter, so I was thinking if I can create a virtual wi-fi adapter somehow just to enable this option.
    Any suggestions?

    Wi-Fi adapter missing after windows update

    I came home today to my machine having updated without my permission, and now my Wi-Fi adapter is completely missing from Windows and I can't connect to the internet.

    It's not listed as an adapter in network connections, it's not listed in the device manager, there are no Wi-Fi options in the network & internet settings.

    How do I revert the windows update?
