Dear all,having trouble since more than a week to get my domain controller back up and running.I was using the built in Windows Server tools and created daily full backups including bare metal recovery.Unfortunately the backups were on an iSCSI disk.Under Windows 10 I could see the backups with wbadmin get versions when mounting the iSCSI disk.Copying the content to an USB drive didn't work.Copying the data to a RDX drive looked OK.So I finally disassembled my PC and then connected the RDX drive to the server.Now when booting from the original Server 2012 R2 DVD I just need to add the drivers

Is this a correct way to do? If I follow this step, will my data be erased?

I want to avoid formatting/fresh Windows install because there are some software in the server that we do not know how to backup. We just want to get it activated now, backup will be sorted out later.
