Windows 10: Bass not detected by pc

I have a bronco bass from Long&Mquade and I try plugging it in to my pc and it would detect and it would record it when i did it with an electric guitar. My pc has a plugin thingy that fits the cord that guitar's use but when I plug my bass into it with the same cord, my pc doesn't detect it as an input

Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 (Realtek) - No bass/sub-woofer

• Speaker Setup plays all speakers fine
• Applications do not play any bass through subwoofer (or really, at all)
• Custom built PC using Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 motherboard onboard audio.
• Windows 10 fresh install
• Tried latest driver from Gigabyte, Realtek, and Microsoft
• Windows "default" driver does play bass through sub-woofer, but audio stutters and is quiet.

Not sure what else is relevant to mention; I've tried following various posts with suggestions to fix this, with no success. I've been at this for quite a few hours and am very frustrated.

Try these. My friend had a similar problem, I followed the steps in the first link and fixed it. Before you try these; have you updated your OS? It may be a driver problem.

No bass after Fall Creators update

Compatibility issue, corrupted or outdated drivers may be the possible reasons why there is no bass sound coming from your speaker after update. To isolate your issue, we'd like to gather more information:

• Have you tried updating your drivers?
• Could you tell us what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Meanwhile, we recommend that you run the troubleshooter for Hardware and Devices. This will identify and diagnose technical issues. Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X on your keyboard and select
  Control Panel.
• On the upper right part of the Control Panel window, type
  Troubleshooting.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Click View all.
• Click Hardware and Devices and follow the prompt to proceed with the troubleshooter.
• Restart your PC and check if the issue still persist.
