Windows 10: battery draining overnight when my device is idle

I use a hp pavalion 10th gen and when it is idle in the night the battery drains from 100 to 15 or 20, i have tried everything i could do but nothing is happening pls help and tell me what to do

Battery Draining Overnight On Idle On Windows 10!! Please Help!!

So I'm using Lumia 640XL. Really loved the phone and it was really reliable.

Now, a perfect year has gone by since purchase and the problems are beginning.

Already I had an issue with my alarms, now, my battery is failing.

Battery drains from fully charged to 27% when the phone is idle overnight. However, when I'm using the phone during my day (and my usage is pretty heavy) it runs as smoothly as ever.

I don't notice any difference in my battery other than the fact that I have to charge the phone every night because it runs dry overnight on idle.

Please Help!! Is this how Windows repays us??

I'm regretting buying a Windows phone and thankful that I didn't buy one for my Mom. (Sorry, but I'm feeling really let down.)

I would tend to think that Gary D's comment relating to the possibility of "spotty coverage" would be the most likely culprit. If the phone is on it is always polling for a connection and if there is none available it will continue to poll for one. That
would drain your battery.

I have left WiFi and Bluetooth on and have not experienced that issue with my Mozart. If the device is turned off, the battery should last through the night IMHO.

I agree, but do you not feel there is a more endemic issue here? Could you please help me in getting a solid phone conversation with someone from Microsoft, I need to sort my issues out asap, it's been two months now...
