Discus and support Battery draining since last Windows update..on a desktop? in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; I read somewhere this happens because you're plugged into a UPS.     Battery draining since last Windows update..on a desktop?


    I read somewhere this happens because you're plugged into a UPS. Is it..draining my UPS and about to shut down when it counts down to zero? Because it's been dropping in battery charge all day long, and..it's plugged in. What the heck battery is draining!?

    Battery draining very fast since last updates

    I recently bought a msi laptop and in the beginning I had no problem at all. More than a week ago, I installed an accumulative update and since then, the battery is draining very fast. Normally, it lasted 5 hours with power saving but now it doesn't even
    last 1 hour and a half. I tried updating all drivers and nothing changes.

    If anybody can help, please help me

    Bang! Problem solved! I also posted this in Neowin: Do I have a failing battery? Or is a program draining the heck out of it? - Surface Pro 3 - Hardware Hangout - Neowin Forums

    I was suggested to reinstall the drivers. Device Manager didn't expressed any anomalies, but reinstalling the drivers yielded outstanding results. The device now lasted 4 hours and 23 minutes. The last hour and 23 minute was with the device playing music in Media Player Classic with the display always-on at 100% brightness and the volume 80%.
