Windows 10: Battery for HP Notebook will not charge

I received a new HP 15 Notebook. After completing the sign-in process, noticed that the battery was not charging. I allowed the laptop to update several times, but battery still would not charge. I the driver and found nothing wrong, but Iinstalled and reinstalled the audio. I then installed some HP programs that scanned laptop for problems, and they detected that the battery was not charging but were unable to fix it. I then assumed it was a with battery even though it was used and ordered a new battery. However, the new battery also would not charge so I checked the adapter and tried a comp

I see that your laptop’s battery is not charging. We would like to know, if you get a message stating plugged in not charging when hovering the mouse over the battery icon.



If you see the message plugged in not charging, I suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned below and see if that helps:

1. Press Windows Logo key + X, and select
   Device Manager.
   
2. Expand Battery.
   
3. Right click on Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery, and select
   Uninstall.
   
4. Click OK to confirm.
   
5. Restart the computer.

battery charging intermittently

Hello,

I have a HP laptop T8S31EA#ABZ and recently my battery has started to abruptly stop charging at variable levels of charge. Keeping it connected to AC, it starts randomly to charge again but only for some minutes and then stops.

I followed all the steps suggested here 225% battery issue - HP Support Community - 7129241 since
when the battery is removed, the icon battery shows a "225% charged" message....

Any suggestions?
