Windows 10: Battery Full Capacity decreasing rapidly

So I bought this Asus VivoBook Pro 15 M3500Q and it was working like a charm especially its battery until 20 of this month, since then its battery has been declining continously I don't know what just happpened my usage pattern has not changed I'am very stressed right now earlier it used to give me like 6 to 7 hours now it is barely giving 3 hours on battery, I have attached battery report till 20 it was 56,690 mWH now it is down to 35,873 mWH... please help me out fixing this, is it a windows update bug? or some setting needs tweaking?

My issue is very similiar, the only difference is that my laptop is Asus notebook A541UJ.

Here is the thing: I already bought 2 new batteries and within 5-6months of usage, the capacity goes from 28 000 kWh to like 6 000 kWh, so, my guess now is that the Windows Operating System is not dealing very well with the batteries. One of my latest battery report shows that I'm reaching 431% of battery capacity. Probably because I changed the battery and it considers the "100% full charge capacity" as 7 000 kWh and not the correct 28 000kWh (of the new battery).

Battery full charge capacity decreased?





As you can probably see from the above image, my battery's full charge capacity has been decreased. Even though I just bought this laptop like 3 months ago, the laptops full charge capacity has been decreased by a huge amount like 5000mWh. I don't know what is causing this I have three questions...

i) What causes a battery to lose its Full Charge Capacity?

ii) Can a full charge capacity be increased (reversed) by using it the right way again?

iii) How can I save my battery from losing it's full charge capacity? Will using it plugged into the charger help it not get decreased?

Repeat the steps Dave suggest you other three times.

Also you can uninstall and reinstall battery from device manager before each charge. You can do that:

1. Press WINDOWS + X

2. Click on "Device Manager"

3. Click on "Battery"

4. Right click on your battery

5. Click on "Uninstall device"

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each element on battery list

7. Click on "Detects Hardware change" (monitor icon)
