Windows 10: Battery Goes To Zero After Restarting/Shutting Down At Low Battery Level.

I bought this laptop about a month ago, and this problem occurred for the first time 6 days ago. I have tried disabling fast startup, hibernation mode, and I even perform full shutdown shutdown /s /f /t 0, it doesn't seem to work at all.I can confirm there's nothing that uses the battery, which doesn't make sense. In physics and chemistry, the law of conservation of energy states that the total energy of an isolated system remains constant; it is said to be conserved over time, which means that it can't just disapear, and there has to be some other energy converted from the energy the batter

Laptop shuts down at low battery warning

A few users are reporting this same problem, so that may be caused by a Windows 10 update, though it is not a recognized bug as yet . . .

Right click the battery icon on your Taskbar, choose Power Options

On your current Power Plan, click 'Change Plan Settings'

Click 'Change Advanced Power Settings'

On the resulting list, scroll down to find Battery

Set the Low Battery Level to 10% on Battery and Plugged in

Set Critical Battery level to 5% on Battery and Plugged in

Set Low Battery Notification to On

Set Low Battery Action to 'Do Nothing'

That's it, save those settings and restart (not shut down) your PC . ..

Your concern about the low battery notification on your device can be facilitated by the Power Options section of Windows. To check if Low battery notification is activated, we'd recommend performing the following:

• Search and launch Control Panel using Cortana.
• In the Search Control Panel box, type Power Options.
• Click on Edit power plan.
• Locate and click Change advanced power settings.
• Locate and collapse the Battery category.
• Locate and collapse Low battery notification.
• On battery must be tagged as On.
• If it's already on, locate and increase Low battery level to at least 10%.

Battery Goes ZERO!!!

There are a couple of possible solutions to this:

There is an issue with the latest Windows 10 Update being reported on this forum, whereby when shut down is selected, the laptop only sleeps - to see if this is the case, shut down your laptop and after a few seconds see if all lights (Power
HDD & WIfi) go out, if they do go out, then this is not your issue.

If you are quite sure your battery is healthy, then there is another know issue with one of the previous Windows 10 updates regarding the ACPI Battery Driver, Follow these Steps to rectify this issue:

• Disconnect Power Supply
• Remove battery.
• Connect Power Supply
• Turn on the laptop.
• Control Panel - Device Manager.
• Under the Batteries category, right-click all instances of Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery , and Uninstall.
• Shutdown.
• Disconnect Power Supply.
• Insert battery.
• Connect Power Supply.
• Turn on the laptop
