  1. Battery health, and how long will 24,375 mWh last?

Hello, my friend has a computer, it's design capacity for battery is 53,010 mWh, computer purchased and use since 2021 and now has a full charge capacity 24,375 mWh. I was wondering how long this would last if used continuously. I was also wondering are battery's able to be replaced in a laptop. -Jihan

  2. Why did my battery capacity drop from 27000 mwh to 4300 mwh suddenly?

I have had this laptop for 3 years now. I was working yesterday and my battery percentage was showing around 90%. Suddenly my laptop shut down. I plugged in the charger and saw that battery had drained to zero. I checked the battery health and it shows that my full charge capacity is 4200 mwh. And it was 27000 mwh just few hours ago. It is providing battery backup of around 1 hour 10-20 minutes without charging.

    Acer battery won't charge

What if the battery unremoveable? Should I disassemble and remove it? also there is a switch underneath the case and around the RAM slot that prevent the laptop to turn on when the case is open and without the charger. Is that the same as removing the battery? although when turned on with charger, the laptop still see the battery. Thanks

    - - - Updated - - -

I took the report, the design capacity was 41.440 mWh but full charge capacity is now 25.752 mWh. Is it that bad? Before this happened I believe HWMonitor also show the same number with 38% Wear Level.
    Here's the report file

Thanks for your reply. I tried what you've told, but it did not help.

It seems that the battery is not good.

    Update 1:

Aditionally, I found a link that reports the same problem:

Toshiba laptop drains battery life quickly but stops draining at about 5 %

My Toshiba Laptop (Toshiba Satellite P55t-B5262, bought from Microsoft Store) will drain battery quickly on very light use (word processing, browsing pictures, etc.) down to 9% in about an hour. Then, it will stick at 9% and tell me it has only a few minutes
left, but actually last for another 1.5 hours more.

    Battery usage

I recently also calibrated the battery (discharged it to 5% and put it in sleep mode for a few hours, then charged it back up to full,...) and still this problem is occurring.

    Update 2:

I have just restored the Laptop back from Windows 10 to Windows 8.1, and run powercfg /batteryreport. The above issue seems disappeared:
