Windows 10: Battery health dropping significantly.

I am using a dell latitude 7480. It is old but still quite powerful. It only lasts about an hour on battery these days. I got this laptop refurbished about two years ago. When I got it, it would last several hours. To see what happened I did a battery test. The max compacity is 62,000mWh. When I got it, it was at 42,117mWh. Within 3 months of light usage it dropped to 17,776mWh as it decreased by several thousand every few days. It has been at that level for until now. To check this, I used a few other third party battery health testers and got similar results. Just wanted to know what happene

What happens with most laptop batteries is the laptop is constantly plugged in and that over time reduces the lifespan of the battery. My recommendations above were if that is the case. If you use your laptop on batteries on a regular basis, all the better
for the health of your battery.

It is normal to have an initial drop in the charging capacity of a new battery, but that will level out, don't worry . . .

It seems that your battery is not functioning properly and might need to be replaced. You can check the battery health status by following these steps:

To further investigate, let's check the battery health by generating a battery report:

> Press Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

> Type powercfg /batteryreport and press Enter.

> This will generate a battery report saved as battery-report.html in your user folder.

> In your C drive, look for the file named battery-report.html and double-click it to open it in your web browser and check the Design Capacity and Full Charge Capacity values under the Installed batteries section.

> If the Full Charge Capacity is significantly lower than the Design Capacity, it suggests the battery might need replacement due to degradation over time.

Battery Health

I've been analyzing battery health level and quite concerned about losing battery health. Could anybody tell me if my battery health deterioration will level out or continue to lose health. Is this normal? Thanks
