Windows 10: Battery icon is not showing after recent Windows Update

My Ask: I want to get my battery status icon back :Battery icon not showing and surface serial hub driver is not workingDevice manager not showing batteryBattery is hidden and is show after selecting "Show Hidden Devices"However, microsoft-acpi-compliant control method battery is missing after i followed some forum instruction to uninstall but it never got reinstall after restart I tried downloading the driver to add that manually but it doesn't work too.Showing my systeminfo in case it helps

Battery icon on laptop does not show

Thank you for the update. If the option is greyed out, let's try another workaround. Follow the steps below to use gpedit.msc to show battery icon:

• On the search bar, type gpedit.msc and press Enter.
• In the Local Group Policy Editor window, in the left navigation pane, expand
  User Configuration > Administrative Templates >
  Start Menu and Taskbar.
• Find the Remove the battery meter option from the list on the right side of the window, then right-click on the option, and select
  Edit.
• On the pop-up window, select Disabled and click OK to display the battery meter icon in the notification area on the taskbar.

Note: If you're using Windows 10 Home edition, the above option will not work as Local Group Policy Editor is not available for this Windows version.

If the above steps did not resolve the issue, try this instead:

• Open Device Manager.
• Under the Action tab, select Scan for hardware changes.
• Expand the Batteries section.
• Verify the AC adapter and ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery are displayed.
• Right-click on these devices then select Disable.
• Right-click on these devices again then select Enable.
• Restart your laptop and check if the battery icon is now displayed on the taskbar.

Battery icon shows 255% even when battery not installed

HP dv-6c63NR Laptop. Recently (not sure when it started), the battery icon in the System Tray show 255% charge when the battery is installed or removed. I've rebooted multiple times and just finished a reset. Nothing changes, still shows 255% charge.

Any suggestions on how to trouble shoot this?

It was okay a week or two ago.

This laptop is in the Insider Fast stream and currently has 1903 18362.1. I could install a non-insider build on my 2nd HDD (I have a 500GB SSD boot and a 500GB HDD 2nd drive) as a test.

• When you say "the battery won't show", do you mean you can't see the icon on your computer?
• If yes, when did you start noticing this issue? Have you made any recent changes prior to it?
• Any troubleshooting steps you've tried so far?
