Windows 10: Battery icon is showing at 90% charging plugged in but indicator light is blinking orange

Hi there, hello!I have the following problem: My Laptop tells me the battery is fully charged 100% and it also recognizes that the charger is plugged in, but the indicator light is blinking orange, as if the battery was very low. The laptop is plugged in the whole time. As soon as I unplug the charger, the laptop immediately shuts down, like it does when it's at 0%. I can't turn on the laptop, unless it is plugged in.Here's what I have tried so far:- update Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery by uninstalling it and restarting my device- trying to do a BIOS reset by turning the

Hi there, hello!

I have the following problem: My Laptop tells me the battery is fully charged (100%) and it also recognizes that the charger is plugged in, but the indicator light is blinking orange, as if the battery was very low. The laptop is plugged in the whole time. As soon as I unplug the charger, the laptop immediately shuts down, like it does when it's at 0%. I can't turn on the laptop, unless it is plugged in.

Here's what I have tried so far:
- update Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery (by uninstalling it and restarting my device)

- trying to do a BIOS reset (by turning the device off, unplugging it, holding the power button for 40 seconds, but nothing happened)

Also, weird things happen to the indicator light when I do the following:

If the laptop is turned off and the charger is not plugged in, as soon as I plug it in, the light first appaers orange for a second, then white for a few seconds (indicating it's fully charged), then goes back to blinking orange.

I should also note that I do not believe the issue comes from the charger. I am using the original charger that came with the laptop, it does not appear to be damaged and the computer notices that the charger is plugged in.

I have had my ASUS laptop for close to 3 years now, but I haven't had any battery issues so far, so I'm not sure if it's the battery or the software that is causing the issue.
