Windows 10: Battery Issues/Locking Screen

Discus and support Battery Issues/Locking Screen in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; I just got my new laptop HP Envy only a month ago and it's showing some battery issues.     Battery Issues/Locking Screen


    I just got my new laptop HP Envy only a month ago and it's showing some battery issues. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the device or a setting. I first noticed my laptop battery was draining kind of fast and now it drains within an hour. But before it gets anywhere near to dying a blue screen pops up and says "Locking" and then shuts down. I can't turn it back on unless I plug it in and when I plug it back in it says 0 percent battery, but then after only a minute of charging it is back up to 100 percent even though it wasn't that before it died. As this laptop is brand new it shouldn't be having these problems and it has something to do with the "locking screen" and shut down. Please help!

    Lock Screen Image Issue

    Hi Kirby,

    Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.

    I would suggest you to set the default pictures as the Lock Screen picture from the PC and check if it works or not.

    Follow the steps below:

    • In start type "settings" and press enter.
    • Select Personalize
    • From the left click on "Lock screen"
    • Select the default picture and conform by preview.

    Lock screen issue

    I suggest you to follow these steps:


    • Go to Settings>>Personalization>>Lock Screen.

    • In the right panel, select Picture instead of Windows Spotlight.

    Lock screen woes

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community.

    I would suggest you to follow the below steps to try resolving the issue.

    Setting the timeout for Lock Screen

    • Press Windows + I and select personalization.
    • Select Lock screen.

    • Select the Screen Timeout setting.
    • Select the time of timeout you need and check.
