Windows 10: Battery level indicator on task bar

One day, my battery level indicator in my notification area disappeared. Then my network status icon disappeared. I believe these events happened because of updates.


I played with the many settings menus that Windows has to offer and was able to turn the network icon back on. When I returned to the batter indicator setting, it says "ON" but is grayed out, and I don't know how to change it.

5800 Battery Level Indicator

How can I test if my battery level indicator on my 5800 works? I haven't seen the level indicator move from full bars yet. When I went outside for [sports] practice, I locked my phone. However, two hours later when I unlocked it, the screen was on & it said
full bars, but 10 sec. later, the screen went black. I tried turning it on again, but, once again, after the home screen came on, the screen went black. Do I just have a faulty batter level indicator?



Other questions I have:

1. Is there any other way to view the battery level besides on the home screen?

2. What's the warranty on these phones?

3. How do you download another language (such as Chinese)?

Battery power indicator

1. I am running on Windows 10 and the battery state indicator has disappeared from the Task Bar. I have tried to follow the advice from the community but all paths lead me to something blanked out, such as "personalise the Task Bar"

2. On a list of icons, the battery indicator has the same icon as the Wi-Fi network indicator, the one with the three circle quadrants.
