Windows 10: Battery life draining much faster after Windows 11 install

I installed Windows 11 last week and it drastically decreased my battery life. I ran a diagnostic and my battery is now running at half capacity after having no problems before the update. I reverted to Windows 10 to see if this would fix the problem but it didn't. Is anyone else having this problem/know how to fix this? I'm on a surface book 2.

Vista Draining Notebook Battery Life

According to many industry experts Windows Vista drains notebook battery life faster than Windows XP. The main culprit is said to be the new Aero Glass feature which may look nice but is a burden for many users on the go. While the Aero interface is disabled when switched to power-saving mode, many manufacturers like Hewlett Packard are seeking their own solution to this problem. Experts say that Microsoft will likely have to improve Vista battery life performance in the upcoming service packs to meet consumer pressure.

Battery drains faster in Windows 10.

This is all just rubbish! I've tried all the suggestions to obtain better battery life. I now resort to just turning the device completely off, and it still drains. Microsoft just trying to make excuses for their inferior batteries in the Surface line.
It makes no sense that having a 100% fully charged tablet, then when shut down completely (not sleep mode) that the battery has drained down to 65% when you turn it on the next day. All this in SHUT Down Mode! Give me a break, that's BS!!!
