Windows 10: Battery Low Pop Up Windows 10 laptop not Quickset

Hello, I know there has been a similar question , but it related to Quickset, which I don't have. My battery needs replacing and I can't replace it for some time. I keep getting the pop up that the battery is very low and to plug in my PC now.. It is plugged in and I never use my laptop on battery power. The battery icon and settings show it as fully charged. If I remove the battery the popup seems to go away, but I'm not sure it's safe to leave the battery compartment open to dust etc. I have the current version of Windows 10 and an HP 2000 Notebook. Is there a way to disable the popup. My battery notification is set at below 20% I'm not getting notifications, just the pop up.

Dell Quickset in Windows 10 does not appear to disable the keyboard and touchpad in tablet mode

I would suggest you to un-install and re-install Quickset and see if that makes any difference:

I suggest you to follow these steps:

• Press Windows + R keys
• Type appwiz.cpl
• Choose Quickset and click on un-install.

Re-install from Dell's website and see if that helps.

low battery alarm

We suggest that you check if the low battery notification is turned
on. Kindly follow these steps:

• On the search box, type Power Options to see the laptop's power plans.
• Click on Change Plan Settings.
• Click on the Change Advanced Power Settings.
• Scroll down and look for Battery.
• Expand it see Low battery notification, turn it on for both
  On battery and Plugged in.

Your concern about the low battery notification on your device can be facilitated by the Power Options section of Windows. To check if Low battery notification is activated, we'd recommend performing the following:

• Search and launch Control Panel using Cortana.
• In the Search Control Panel box, type Power Options.
• Click on Edit power plan.
• Locate and click Change advanced power settings.
• Locate and collapse the Battery category.
• Locate and collapse Low battery notification.
• On battery must be tagged as On.
• If it's already on, locate and increase Low battery level to at least 10%.
