  1. "Battery" mode activated on UPS backed up system

So I have a PC, not a laptop. Doesn't have any kind of internal battery system. I am connected to a UPS 1500 battery in case of power failure.New install of Windows 10 and it keeps switching to battery mode Charging - 100% of course.Everytime it does, it changes my background colors and theming. I've gone into Power settings and made sure to match all the Adv Settings so whether it sees battery or AC power, it won't affect system performance and I could do the same with the theming, but I don't want to have to set my PC up twice. Is there a way to disable the system from ever going into batte

    :)

System Image Back Up Not Working

    Thanks.

It's funny to see MS suggesting (although perhaps not quite saying) that their utility is rubbish and to use someone else's.*Wink

I tried a different back up software - Aomei - but, although this seemed to work and was easy to use, it seemed to screw up the system and I had to reset the system through trouble shooting, safe mode, whatever (can't quite remember the steps I took, now). It now seems fine, but seems to have taken a step back in time, as I now don't seem to have Brave or Aomei on the system, except for a near empty folder - not even the installation files in downloads. Also, when the system was back up and running normally, I re-examined the backup drive that Aomei had used, only to find that the drive was not viewable to the system except through disk management. It now seems to be hidden, inactive, etc. Not even sure if it's partitioned or formatted properly.

Railtech, I'm not completely sure of what all this means, but if it means what I think it means then: the system is a clean install, the main drive has 300 out of 320 GB free, and the back up drive is a 120GB clear drive.

I've heard others talk about Macrium Reflect. Do other, here, recommend it, and how easy is it to use?

Plugged in but battery does not charge

If the laptop works without the battery then charger is functioning correctly. Take a cloth with a bit of rubbing alcohol on it (or some on-the-go alcohol swabs), and clean the metal contacts that connect your battery to your laptop.

Make sure to install all Windows important updates.
