Windows 10: Battery remains at 80%

HelloMy battery used to charge at 100%. Few days age, I noticed it dropped to 80% and remains unchanged. Also the adaptor signal light on the laptop disappear. So, I did the following:1. I updated Microsoft ACPI2. I uninstalled adapter and reboot the system3. I extracted battery report4. Besides I did run SFC scan as well as DSIMI already already a new adaptor that might solve the problem. As you might heard it before, since I plugged my laptop all the times, what is the benefit of the battery? It must be some benefits I am not aware of.I do appreciate your help in this regard.Mohamed Bahnas

Please try these suggestions:

1. Make sure date and time are correct in Windows 10 as well as in BIOS settings.

2. Reinstall Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under Device Manager with these steps

• Open Device Manager.
• Expand “Batteries” section.
• Right-click the “Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery” device and click “Uninstall.”
• Click the “Action” menu item and “Scan for Hardware Changes” to reinstall the driver.
• Close Device Manager.

3. Run Power troubleshooter from Settings app > Update & security > Troubleshoot

4. Update BIOS firmware to latest version.

5. If issue still persists, try replacing your battery with new one.

Battery saver remains On

The battery saver option remains on all the time. FollowsF all the steps that were provided here. But the battery saver remains on always even after trying to turn it off multiple times. Need help

Hi,

First of all I suggest you to try with a driver remove and reinstall with Device Manager. To do so:

1. Press WINDOWS + X

2. Click on "Device Manager"

3. Click on "Battery"

4. Right click on the first element on list

5. Click on "Remove"

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the second element on list

7. Click on "Detects Hardware change" (monitor icon)

Then reboot your system and check if the problem still exists.
