Windows 10: BCM20702A0 Insignia Bluetooth adapter not working, driver error/unavailable driver

I have been using this bluetooth adapter for the past year when it decided all of the sudden yestreday it wanted to stop working. I think it was because i was building another PC and maybe the signals interfered with one another and now the driver became corrupted is my guess. I have been working at this issue for 6 hours yestreday and i have watched 10 youtube videos and read maybe 15 articles and none of the fixes work, can i do anything besides trying to reboot the PC completely? I tried updating the driver, uninstalling the drivers and plugging the bluetooth adapter back in, i tried using

INSIGNIA USB Bluetooth Adapter Not Compatible?

The INSIGNIA USB Bluetooth Adapter I purchased from Best Buy did not come with a driver. Plugged it in, nothing. Called Contact Us for this product Insignia - Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adapter - Black (insigniaproducts.com), managed to find "Update Driver" for the device, clicked on Broadband>BCM20702A0 Bluetooth 2.4 GHz Single Chip Tranceiver, and an Update Driver Warning results telling me the driver is not recommended nor is it verified as being compatible. Basically, it's a doomsday warning that put an end to the help the woman on the other end of the phone was willing to provide.

I have Windows 10, so what's the problem?

Is there a different manufacturer's driver listed there that I could choose instead of Broadcom? I tried the other two under Broadcom, and the same warning pops up.

The lady on the help call mentioned it could be there are restrictions on what I can update or something, but I am the administrator, so what I am I doing wrong?

Thank you for any help to get me past the dreaded Update Driver Warning.

I understand that you get Error Code 43 for Insignia Bluetooth adapter. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.



However, please let us know:

• What is the complete model number of the adapter that you are using?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made to the computer prior to the issue?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? Refer
  Which version of Windows operating system am I running?
  
• What is the make and model of the computer?
  

As you have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, you may want to try downloading the drivers from the Insignia website and see if that helps.



You can also try updating the chipset drivers from the computer manufacturer’s website and check.

USB Bluetooth Adapter not funtioning in Windows 10

I´m trying to install in my PC the USB Bluetooth Adapter NSC-PCY5BMA2 ( BCM20702A0 ) from Insignia.

Tried everything but nothing worked: can´t find the driver, nor in the PC nor in the internet.

Help me. Where can I find the driver? I´m using WINDOWS 10.
