Windows 10: Be able to record macro in Windows environment and trigger with taskbar icon or through...

Hello,I suggest that Microsoft incorporate a built in macro recorder in next update of Windows 10. This would be very handy. For example, then I could create a taskbar shortcut to navigate to Outlook Calender view. Today it takes two clicks to navigate to Outlook Calender view. It could take one step. I will also suggest that Outlook put in a right click short-cut on taskbar icon to get to calendar, but anyway macros would be very helpful. I can think of other use cases as well for macros. Would be good if you can give input to macro through keyboard, mouse, speech or other input device. Wou

System Icons on taskbar

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

Blue Screen Critical Process Died - When using Excel Macros - XLSTART / PERSONAL.XLSB Files Triggering?

@F.Grobusch, Thank you for your reply.

I cleared out root/Office/XLSTART + STARTUP and havent used any macros for a werk. No BSODs occured.

However, I just tried testing and it a triggered BSOD.

1. - I recorded a macro —> (in a Personal workbook) —>

Opened VBA (confirmed recorded macro in Personal WBook) —>

saved file (not as “personal”) —> closed excel.

— No BSOD

- Opened excel again —>

Opened VBA —>

Personal workbook was not in VBA nor did a Personal file open.

(They were previously being opened and not hidden)

— No BSOD

- Looked for that personal workbook in

root/Office/XLSTART + root/Office/STARTUP but those folder were empty.

** Opened ROAMING/Excel/XLStart and saw a PERSONAL file.

- Moved that file to the desktop and BSOD Triggered!

I would appreciate any suggestions.
