Windows 10: Bedrock Reverts Edited Render Distance Back to Maximum on Slider

Hello! Like most people, I was looking for how to increase render distance on minecraft bedrock after getting it from the discount of Java. I found a video directing me towards the options.txt file inside the com.mojang folder and I successfully edited the render distance for the max slider at 16 to 56 chunks. There was not issued at this render distance and my computer runs fine. Recently, I noticed when trying to edit it again, I had switched back to regular slider as it allowed for easier choices, I noticed that no matter what distance I set in the options file, Minecraft would always keep it at it's maximum of 16 chunks. I looked around the internet trying to find ways to allocate more ram to bedrock edition until I learned this was done automatically. I did close out everything that was on my computer, and restarted and cleared the cache but it still would not accept the edited options file yes I clicked save. I figured out how to check the ram usage on my computer at the current moment and it was saying the bedrock was only using 800 MB of ram at that point. My computer has 8 GB of ram and I would think that this much ram would allow for the slider to go higher. I wonder if bedrock reverting the slider to a maximum of 16 has to do with a recent update but I would love to get some help to force allocate more ram to bedrock, and/or to figure out how to get a higher render distance.

Minecraft Bedrock edition

I have just done a search on Minecraft Bedrock edition and could not find it. Are you sure it was Minecraft Bedrock edition, and not another edition of Minecraft?

I have also looked on your Xbox profile and found that you do not have Minecraft Bedrock Edition in the games you have played. You seem to have the following: Minecraft, Minecraft Xbox One Edition, and Minecraft Windows 10 Edition.

Please can you check to make sure it shows under My purchases on https://account.microsoft.com

Minecraft Windows 10 Edition Render Distance

To begin with, I know that Minecraft windows 10 edition has some glitches and work to be done in prior to that I believe that in the update 1.0.5 I have noticed some problems such as not being able to go up slabs, carpets and sometimes when trying to get
out of water too. Apart from that in the update 1.0.5 I have noticed that while playing in servers the game will only load about 4 chunks this does not happen while playing on realms, the things that

Fixes I have tried is going to settings on the main menu and turning up the render distance, deleting and reinstalling Minecraft and deleting the Minecraft folder for the Windows 10 edition which is named com.Mojang, reinstalling the entire game, going back
to the game folder opening the file "Minecraft pe" then opening "options" with notepad and changing the value for "gfx_renderdistance_new:128", "vr_renderdistance:128", to diverse numbers but the only thing I noticed was that this only took effect on single
player and realms not but not on any server.
