Windows 10: before you can perform print related tasks such as page setup you need to install a printer

this error is happened in fnw 137 printer....how can l fix it?

Print Spooler Error 1068

1. When I try to print, an error is thrown up. Adobe Reader, for example, throws up one that says: "Before you can perform print-related tasks such as page setup or printing a document, you need to install a printer"; Excel 2007 (I know, it's outdated) throws
up one that says: "No printers are installed. To install a printer, do the following: [list of instructions for how to install a printer in various iterations of Windows]". However, when I go to "Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers",
the printer is listed correctly under printers.

2. The printer is an HP Deskjet 1000 J110 Series.

I've tried the above steps and they unfortunately did not solve the issue -- to begin with, the spooler is not even started for me to stop in the first place as in step c, and when I attempt to start it as in step g, it throws up Error 1068 again.

 

Print prints calibration pages, but no documents

Negative: I followed all these steps, and I again removed anything from my computer and registry that is related to HP, and re-installed everything: Same problem after many attempts: The printer prints through HP setup software, but fails to print through
Windows (Test page or Microsoft application like Word, Outlook or Excel)

Outlook displays "Printer not ready"

No problem printing from notepad

No problem printing a pdf from Microsoft Edge

Interesting is that if I print to Microsoft print to PDF then I get identical error messages

Any other suggestions or hints where the problem might be?

Printer printing blank page after upgrading to Windows 10.

The above issue might occur due to the following reasons:

• 
  Missing/corrupted printer components.
  
• 
  Printer drivers not compatible with the OS installed.
  
• 
  Printer spooler Stopped and set as Manual.
  
• 
  Printer settings not set appropriately.
  

Before we assist further, did you check if similar issue persists on printing from other applications (website, excel, notepad, etc.)?



If haven’t tried, try printing from other applications such as website pages, excel, notepad and check if similar issue persists.



If you are facing similar issue on printing from other applications, I suggest you to install the printer drivers in compatibility mode by following the steps below and check if similar issue persists.



Compatibility mode runs the program in the current version of Windows using the settings from previous version of Windows.



Step 1: Follow the steps below to install the touchpad driver in
compatibility mode.

  Download the latest and most compatible printer driver setup file from device manufacturer’s website for Windows 8.1 OS or locate the driver setup file in your PC.
  
• 
  Right-click on the driver setup file and click on
  Properties.
  
• 
  Click on the Compatibility tab, check the box
  Run this program in compatibility mode for, select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.
  
• 
  Once the driver is installed in compatibility mode,
  restart the PC for the effective changes to take place.
  

Step 2: You can also follow the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• 
  Press Windows logo key on the keyboard and type
  Run programs made for previous versions of Windows.
  
• 
  Select the top most search result and follow from step 2 from the article
  Make older programs compatible with this version of Windows
  (Also applies to Windows 10).
  
• 
  Check if the changes are effective.
