Windows 10: Behringer U-Phoria UM2 Troubleshooting

I recently Purchased the Behringer U-Phoria UM2 to power my Audio Technica AT2020. AT2020 plugged into the UM2 via XLR. UM2 plugged into my Windows 10 PC via the provided USB cord. I downloaded the 64 bit driver from the Behringer's website for the UM2 and installed it. I have the 48v switch on the UM2 on and have the gain to about 50%. however, looking in the sounds setting menu, I'm not getting any sound from the AT2020. The AT2020 is recognized and running the windows troubleshooting program comes back with no detected problems. The UM2 seems to be recognized as both a speaker and a microphone. The signal light on the UM2 is off but the power is on. please help. more details can be provided if needed

Hello, if you know the terms put simply my playback disables my recording visa versa.

For those who don't, there are 2 different cords/connections from any headset (w/ a mic) even if you don't know it, one of which is for you to receive audio and one of which is for you to output audio, listening and speaking to be blunt, my mic is currently
disabling 'listening' when i am capable of 'speaking' and when i am capable of listening i cannot speak. this all occurred after i setup my behringer setup and after which my normal USB headset also functions the same way so it is clearly software related,
something my PC did that made itself this way.

TLR I cannot hear while i can speak, i cannot speak while i can hear.

Impossible Ground Loop?? Tried for months.

windows update disabled driver for Behringer UMC202HD

I have the same exact Behringer UMC202HD that stopped working after the 1709 update.

The drivers were there but the mic and audio would cut out if I tried to use one or the other.

The device was working just fine prior to the update.

I found a solution on the Behringer forums - it seems that the MS update resets the UMC202HD sampling rates down to 16k which is why we hear the clicking. Follow the instructions in this link to reset the Mic and Speakers
to the correct sampling rates and it should work fine.
