Windows 10: Being asked for parental permission when I am 22 and do not have any family members...

I am being shown this webpage when I try to click on an apartment listing. My account is not connected to anyone else's, and I am 22 years old. This is incredibly inconvenient as I am trying to find a place to live. Why is this happening and how do I make it stop?

broken "family member needs to sign in"

Parental controls stopped working. Family.Microsoft.com has alert: "Your family member needs to sign in to their Windows 10 device AngLaptop2014 for family features to work.

But the "how to fix this" says

• Select Accounts > Family & other people
• Under Your family, select your family member, then select Allow
• Have your family member sign in with their Microsoft account if asked to

And the steps don't apply. The account is already allowed, and there is no option to change that.

Now what???

8-yr old grandson, just getting started with computers, trying to sign in to chrome, message comes up "Ask for permission, you'll need to ask an adult family member...", with "ask by email" box in lower right, don't know which email, how do we
get around this impasse?

 

Microsoft Family Should have more than child and adult family members...

Has anyone noticed that when adding someone to the Microsoft family there is only adult and child as a selection... Wouldnt it make sense for there to also be a teenage selection for those parents who want their teens to have
control of their own settings but still be able to monitor their activity (without the teens needing the parents account info)...

I would make sense and could even be set to switch over from child to teen when the child hits a certain age...the parent could even pick the age...

Why not add it...it would be useful to quite a few people and it just makes sense to have a teen family member option

Ideas and things to take into consideration for a teenager family member option:

• Giving the teen a sense of responsibility by:
  • Allowing control over some settings
  • Option to give a money spending limit or making them able to save the money given to them over certain periods of time in order to buy something
  • ect.
• Addition of a rating limit and automatically asking the parents for permission to buy or watch something that is over the rating limit.
• ect.

This is just an idea I thought of...

If you have any support or aditional idea's for a teen family member option comment them below cause i wanna see if anyone else has ideas that would work with this...
