Windows 10: being asked the old local account password

Discus and support being asked the old local account password in User Accounts and Family Safety to solve the problem; I am being asked the old local account password, which I never set up, I, changed the windows password succesfully, but now I (W10) does not accept it...     Regarding your concern, we need to identify what is this old Windows password being asked in your computer. For us to better assist you, kindly please provide the following:

    • Have you tried entering your Local account password when being asked for the old Windows password?
    • Is it being asked after you click "Sign in with a Microsoft account" option from Settings page?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
    • Can you provide us a screenshot showing this message being asked for the old Windows password?

    Windows10 Cortana, microsoft login and 'old password' request.. whhaat???

    The old password it means is your local account password. So when it asks for your old password, can you try entering your windows local account password(not your old Microsoft account password)?
