What do I need to do to be prepared for Windows 10?

I have 3 Acer Aspires. 2 are laptops that are running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, and 1 is a desktop that is running Windows 8.1 64-bit.

Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    :)

Iam I being scammed and what do I need to do to protect myself?

A couple of months back, my computer froze and it said to call Microsoft at the number on my screen. I did and paid a company 156.00 to fix it. Then they called back a few months later to say my system was hacked. I paid 199.00 to protect my system. They
called today and said my system was hacked and will shut down in two hours. They wanted 150.00 for a two year Microsoft Anti Hacking Security. I have Norton and Microsoft, Am I being scammed?

Company states it is an authorized Microsoft Service Center. They come up as Webtechnoorg.com. Any help would be great on what I should or should not do.

I would make sure you have backups of the systems.
    2. Make sure the drivers are current and the updates are current.

Lastly make sure that you have a reservation for each system(not needed but good to have)

    And you're set.

  5. Everything that you mentioned is all set. The only thing is that I don't know if all of the drivers are current. How would I find out?

You can go to the mfg of the hardware you have and check for the latest editions. That should do the trick.

Keep in mind that when Win10 does install it might update the drivers again but it's safe to make sure you do that first.

I wouldn't even bother with drivers. Win 10 will update any it thinks it needs to regardless of what you do or don't do beforehand.

Get an image done and let er rip!

It's been advised by others here as well to upgrade drivers before the upgrade to Win10. It can't hurt.

  10. Don't worry about drivers because you will run Win Ten Drivers. The Win Ten Upgrader comes full equip and is a Super Upgrader (you'll see). The only thing you have to do is BACKUP.
    All the best,

  11. Well, on my Laptop, most of all of the drivers date back to 2011. So, I don't think they are current. I know some of you are saying not to worry about it, but I would like to update them anyway. So, how do I tell if my laptop drivers are current since the Acer website's drivers date back to 2011?

  12. Win Ten will overwrite most of your drivers. On post installation the Windows Updates should fix everything. Believe me I test it many times since 10074. The first time I came in I was under Ubuntu and it overwrite all my drivers.
    Take care,
