  2. FoxNews videos will not play in Edge

Try uninstalling Kaspersky which is not safe to run anyway since it is affiliated with Russian Spy Agencies according to America's most trusted business news source:

Cybersecurity: Kaspersky Has Close Ties to Russian Spies - Bloomberg

Default to built-in Defender which is provided by the people who make Windows and know how to protect it best.

Have you updated Flash Player in Firefox and Chrome? Try that next. If that fails uninstall both completely and then reinstall them, install Flash and try again.

Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes.

    Have you gotten infected?

Download, install, run full scans with
    Malwarebytes Free Version
    and
    AdwCleaner
which are the best free scanners to have on hand for periodic scanning.

I suggest uninstalling Kaspersky which I would not run because it has very murky ties with Russian spy agencies .

Better to stick with built-in Defender which is maintained by Microsoft who have a vested interest only in protecting their flagship product Windows.

If you get infected then add the free trial in Malwarebytes and if you like it after 30 days I'd buy it and run it alongside Defender which is it made to do. Those who I have advised to do this have never gotten infected again.

Their loss, with all the advertising (news), Kaspersky products are going to be selling even better now.

  6. Many people have never even heard about Kaspersky AV. Once they read, that US agencies like NASA and others refuse to get rid of it, because it is so good, even-though it was banned, they will buy it for sure.

People will still use it though, because Kaspersky AV solutions are integrated in a range of routers, chip and software products from such household names as Cisco, Juniper, D-Link, Broadcom, Amazon and Microsoft.

ok ur probably right, but I don't trust the Russians at this point so it's my decision be it good or bad. I am not an expert by any means, I just know my own idiosyncrasies and I'll sleep better this way - lol

That's ok, I can understand your point.

If I was a Russian I would drop America's Microsoft Windows 10, and use ROSA Linux

And if I was Chinese I would use Ubuntu Kylin
We wouldn't want the NSA or CIA to get our download & streaming information from Microsoft's servers, would we?

    LOL Cliff ...

I do hope this does not become political.. but I am keen on seeing an independent analysis of Kaspersky tho' (it's a good app) ...just to allay the fears if anything.

I'm not afraid of Kaspersky as such. But I am afraid of what the Russian Government might do with their products, even if Kaspersky weren't a willing partner.

  11. Indeed, just like US companies have to obey Patriot Act, thus give CIA an unconditional access to any data.

Would that not be part of the analysis? If in a non-Cloud environment, why would they have access to your data?

my 2cents = the people the Russian government is interested in spying on, don't buy their AV at BestBuy. They would be Defense Contractors and DOD employees, who have all their security measures mandated by law, and furnished to them by their employer.
