    Best way to wipe hard drive on laptop running Windows 10


    I got a new computer back in December and everything is running smoothly, so I am ready to wipe my old laptop. I’m wanting to trade it in to Best Buy, but I want to make sure I erase it properly. Is there anything extra I have to do or is going through the Backup and Recovery settings and resetting it (or whatever the term is) enough? It’s running a version of Windows 10, but the factory OS is Windows 8. Does wiping the computer revert it back to Win 8?
